Robert Crunkleton, son of Robert, served under Capts. John Jack and William Berryhill, 1777-80-81-82. On 25 June 1782, Robert Crunkleton was married by the Rev. Alexander Dobbin to Anne “Morhead” of Washington Township.
Robert Crunkleton, whose will was probated 10 March 1787, appears as the father of the Revolutionary Soldier above. His wife was Margaret and he names sons: Robert; Joseph; Samuel; six daughters: Rebecca, who married --- Miller; Mary; Martha, who married James Finney, 20 April 1774; Susan, who married John Cellar of Antrim Township, 2 January 1776; Elizabeth; Sarah, who married Alexander McCutchen, 27 June 1780; the marriages by the Rev. Alexander Dobbin.
In the year 1734, Joseph Crunkleton obtained his license, and in 1735, he, Jacob Snively, James Johnston and James Roddy made settlements.
