Wesly Fleming, who was taken by Federal authorities to West Virginia a few days ago, as stated in the Herald, is the defendent in the divorce case now pending in the Court of Common Pleas in Morgan County, Ohio, entitled Jessie Fleming against Wesley Fleming. The charges are infidelity, gross neglect of duty and abandonment.

 

NOTE: Jessie Divorced Wesley Fleming and married Samuel McElhose. Sam was a blacksmith in Beverly, OH. He then owned a saloon at Beverly near the Muskingum River bridge. The saloon was destroyed by the 1913 flood.

    His wife was distraught after his death and walked into the Muskingum River at the Beverly / Waterford bridge and drowned.  Her body was never recovered.
