The Zanesville Signal (Zanesville, Ohio) February 25, 1932 Mrs Nan Kappel, 79, well known and highly esteemed resident of Hackney, Morgan county, died at the home of her sister, Mrs O C Reed, in Hackney at 12:10 o'clock Wednesday afternoon following a week's illness from pneumonia. Mrs Kappel was the widow of George Kappel, who died in 1900, and besides the sister at whose home she died she is survived by the following children: Louis, Zanesville; Harry of Houston, Texas; and two daughters, Mrs Clarence Fulkerson, Zanesville; Mrs Maude McKelvey of Beverly; another sister, Mrs Amanda Brown, of Idaho; one brother, James Richards, Beverly; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but burial will be made at Centerville, Morgan county.
