Addison "LeRoy" Smithb. April 24, 1921 (Washingont Co., OH) - d. Dec. 4, 2008 (Ohio) Waterford Cemtery (Washington Co., OH)
The Marietta Times: WATERFORD - Addison LeRoy Smith, 87, of Maple Circle, Waterford, died at 2:54 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 24, 2008) at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
He was born April 24, 1921, in Waterford, Ohio, to Clyde D. and Velma Rayl Smith. He retired from Ohio Power Company, Muskingum River Plant. He graduated from Waterford High School and served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 389 at Beverly.
On Oct. 26, 1948, he married Wilsie Snow Smith. She died on Nov. 13, 2006. He is survived by four daughters; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister, Margaret Malone of Lowell.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; daughter, Pamela Ruth Jackson; a 1 1/2-year-old infant sister, Hazel; and three brothers, Lester Smith, Encil Smith and Clyde V. Smith.
Services are at 1 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 28, 2008) at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evangelist Zack Waite officiating. Burial is in Waterford Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The Marietta Times: Wilsie Maxine Smith, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday (Nov. 13, 2006) at Selby General Hospital. She was born April 22, 1923, in Beverly, a daughter of Fred N. Snow and Lucy Miller Snow. She graduated from Beverly High School in 1942. She was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ and the American Legion Auxiliary United 389 at Beverly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela Ruth Jackson; five brothers, Ronald, Russell, Wade, Jack, and Paul Blain Snow; and two sisters, Ruth Snow and Margie Kline.
